Sunflowers and Daisies at Lunch in North Tacoma

Today at lunch I drove to North Tacoma......
I came upon this yard that had a large amount of sunflowers and daisies. I passed it up and decided I needed to go back. I drove around the block, parked my truck and went for a short walk. The flowers were beautiful and all over.

Liking the cooler temperatures

The only thing I'm really going to miss about the sun going away is the beautiful flowers. I am a 60°-70° happy person. We had 103° one day - all time record for Washington State since 1891. Then we had 6 or 7 days in the 90s. Today is is 62° and cloudy, but still sunbreaks coming through. The flowers are starting to wilt away a bit, but sometimes I get lucky and find these kind of photos.

Nesting boxes...

I painted these nesting boxes...but not happy at all with the top one.

New Flowers

These blood red flowers were standing tall and proud...I'm not sure what they are...other than very pretty.

This photo came out a bit blurry, so I turned into a watercolor looking photo. Pretty cool I think.

I really like the way the veins are dark and it bleeds into the yellow.

Black-eyed susans and lavender I believe. Just loved the way it stood out.

Barn and Bunny

I found a road I hadn't seen before on my way to work this morning. I had time so I turned and it wasn't much of a happening road, but came upon this barn.
I put it on my computer at work as the desktop photo. It was on there for a couple hours before I realized there was a little bunny in the left hand corner. It was so cute.

Saturday drive

Lily on it's deathbed....there were several
of these lillies, but they were all wilting
away from the heat. The coloring is still
very pretty.
